Lesson 2 - Auxiliary Equipment Part 1: Dryer/Hopper Systems and Granulators

Objectives:

Describe the operation of a dryer/hopper system used on an injection molding machine.

Identify the key criteria that determine what type of drying equipment to use.

Understand the function and selection of granulators for molding operations.

Lesson 3 - Auxiliary Equipment Part 2: Mold Temp. Control, Central Chiller Systems and Material Handling

Objectives:

Understand the different types of mold temperature control systems and how they work.

Describe the operations and selection of a central chiller system.

Identify about the different types of material handling systems used in injection molding along with the advantages and disadvantages of each.
