Description: Within the Injection Molding
and Testing of Integrally Colored Parts course is valuable information about the
coloring of plastics. Use of special effect additives is explained and
recommendations for the coloring of specific polymer families are made.
The use of pigments, dyes and special effects are examined along with
discussion of the handling of coloring agents including dispersion and
compounding. This course closes with an examination of molding colored
materials, covering an assortment of the problems that can be encountered
and the techniques used to solve them.
